Welcome to Bournemouth 5

Hands up anybody who still wants to go to Bournemouth Cool

Trudging slowly over wet sand
Back to the bench where your clothes were stolen
This is the coastal town
That they forgot to close down
Armageddon - come armageddon!
Come, armageddon! come!

Everyday is like sunday
Everyday is silent and grey

Hide on the promenade
Etch a postcard :
"how I dearly wish I was not here"
In the seaside town
...that they forgot to bomb
Come, come, come - nuclear bomb

Everyday is like sunday
Everyday is silent and grey

Trudging back over pebbles and sand
And a strange dust lands on your hands
(and on your face...)
(on your face ...)
(on your face ...)
(on your face ...)

Everyday is like sunday
"win yourself a cheap tray"
Share some greased tea with me
Everyday is silent and grey

I'm so glad I missed all this.
Bill Phillips: You can't beat a drop of rain Graeme grin

Cripes, Bill! I'm dashing immediately to the travel agency.
Bill Phillips: A wise move Ray.
Well those goofballs can say what they want, but I find the photo really awesome! Interesting composition - with that angle on the little huts - and the fog creeping over the hill!
Bill Phillips: But would you want to spend a week there Elizabeth? grin

Great shot and LOL @ Elizabeth, she said it all for me too.
Bill Phillips: I am being unfair to Bournemouth. Actually it isn't one of my favourite places so I enjoyed doing a hatchet job on it grin

Sometimes days are like this and just start twisting themselves around your finger till you fall in love with them. Seriously.
Bill Phillips: I know what you mean Ginnie. I had fun taking and putting this series together.
Blimey Bill.... better and better.
Bill Phillips: Or worse and worse smile

What a tristesse- but the beach huts (I remember) are glittering and dreaming of summery, colourful days - all is changing - but what a sad song - "they forgot to bomb..." -no, never ...
Bill Phillips: I lived near the seaside as a child and there are few places more depressing on a wet day than a seaside town. This is the only Morrissey song i like because i can identify with it Philine

I'm seeing Bournemouth in a completely different light Bill!!!
Bill Phillips: That was the trouble Sally. there wasn't much light grin

Bill Phillips: Noooooooooooooooooooooo it is supposed to be totally depressing

Morrisey is the perfect choice for your picture of holiday hell. I can almost feel the dampness in the air. Great.
Bill Phillips: This song was in my head as i took this picture Mike grin

I want to see more pictures of your miserable day. But if they are like this then definitely so Bill. This is the best for me and is likeyable I cannot believe that you produced this, did Ange do it? I do miss your none sense pictures which everyone can rubbish. WILL YOU STOP POSTING GOOD PICTURES!
Bill Phillips: I post good pictures now and then just to prove that I can. I may confine them to the Pig's site in future

I don't believe your words - You have Ange, Angela, Angel!!!
Bill Phillips: I am going back to childhood Philine when a wet day like this meant not going to the seaside! Now i don't even mind the seaside in the rain smile
I'm not going anywhere near the place.
Bill Phillips: It isn't as bad as I have made it look Mary. Well not when the sun shines anyway grin

I may not go after all, Bill!

I like this. Makes me want yo walk down the path in front of the little huts to see what's around the bend!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Helen. We didn't go much further as it was getting very wet....and a bit cold!
You're making Bournemouth as appealing as Chad made Droitwich Bill
Bill Phillips: It is fun to do Janet grin
Janet got it right, you both should have your cameras taken off you.
Bill Phillips: As long as they don't then give them to you.
I'm glad it wasn't like this when we went just down the road at Wareham in September.
Bill Phillips: A bit of sunshine is desirable but it was fun taking these pictures in the rain!
Looks as if you had the whole place to yourself, Bill, not a soul to be seen. Must say you've done a brilliant job of capturing the deserted and dreary atmosphere.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Beverly. There were a few hardy sous about but not many grin
Hmmm...Cornwall was positively tropical compared to this!
Bill Phillips: It wasn't very warm Sarah.....and very wet!
This is the weather we are having for a couple of Bill!
Bill Phillips: It brightened up here today which is good because it is our monthly book sale tomorrow
You have captured the song well...
Bill Phillips: I was thinking of the song when i took this Larry

You want to go there is daylight, Bill, although it;s interesting to see it under the moonlight, as here.
Bill Phillips: Hahaha This was full daylight!
This is a wonderful composition Bill... the brightest part in this scene are the white peaks of the change houses... it sure was a dark day to go to the beach....petersmile
Bill Phillips: We call them beach huts Peter. It was dark and wet!

An atmospheric shot
Bill Phillips: It was very atmospheric if that is a euphemism for wet grin
