The game was called off why? !! because of a bit of rain... i thought that it rained most of the summer over there this year Bill... loved the video....petersmile

BTW... great compositionsmile
Bill Phillips: It rained all summer Peter. And now it is raining again. Still nothing to compare with Hurricane Sandy.
At least it's still standing I suppose! Lonely though.
Bill Phillips: Bleak is te word that came to my mind Elizabeth grin

There's nothing like volleyball on the beach, Bill, even in inclement weather! smile
Bill Phillips: I'll take your word for it Ginnie grin
This is as lousy a day at the seaside as anyone would want... Another socially important photographic comment to go with all the others in this amazing series.

I think that's a pint for me next time we meet.
Bill Phillips: Two at least Richard

Another image for the Tourist Board visitor guide. It would encourage me to visit than an image of the beach chokka with people!
Bill Phillips: Yes it would have suited you well Alan. Actually the best time to go to the seaside is on a cold sunny winter's day!

I prefer the one to the other Bill, and I don't need to spell out which one. The lightishmess of what I presume is the higher tide mark works well in this.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Chad. I think you are right and Mike agrees so you must be

It seems to get drearier, Bill. Is that my imagination?
Bill Phillips: Not at all Lisl. It really looked as dreary as this

Wonderful shot Bill, the grainy bleakness tells its own story. Chad is right, the patch light on the wet sand plays a crucial role in the photo.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike. The seaside can look very grim in bad weather. The pleasing thing was all these pictures were taken with my little 30 quid Fuji compact.
ooh bleak!
Bill Phillips: Yup! smile
Just when I thought it couldn't get any gloomier.... smile
Bill Phillips: You haven't seen tomorrow's grin
The weathers done all the blocking, Bill!
Bill Phillips: hahahahahaha.................. What's blocking?
It doesn't look the best day for BV in your shot. Brrrrr
Bill Phillips: It was very wet and quite cold. But apart from that it was OK
Ye gods.Whens the good stuff coming on.
Bill Phillips: This is it mate. You don't recognise quality even when it bites you on the bum.
Coach Cindy would improve the bleak outlook Bill smile
Bill Phillips: Not in that rain she wouldn't...all those goosebumps!!
And no one prepared to play!? Astonishing! I think I'm happy to leave Bournemouth unvisited, Bill!
Bill Phillips: I don't recommend going on a cold wet day Tom

It all looks a bit bleak
Bill Phillips: It was was
Things don't change much on Bournemouth beach do they.
Bill Phillips: Not in the rain they don't
A fine gloomy composition Bill!
Ah! The glamour of beach volleyball!
