Hmmmm. Why would anyone put that up to obstruct the view of the sea, Bill???? Or is that a place to shower off? In that regard, ok then.

What did happen to Bournemouth? - I have lovely memories of the beach...
Bill Phillips: It rained Philine...and rained and rained
Bournmouth was never as exciting as this when I went there in the 50's

That's odd; most images of Bournemouth usuall feature on the red tops witha headline of "Phew! Wotta Scorcha!" and the beach jam packed of red blistering bodies. I hope you took advantage of the shower facilities.

Bournemouth not looking its best, love it. Reminds me of Ted MacDougall who left the Cherries to join Man Utd and then scored on his debut at Old Trafford against Birmingham City.
Bill Phillips: I remember going to see Exeter City play at Bournemouth when Exeter reached the dizzy heights of the old division 3. We went with my dad and the fog descended as we were driving home. I swear he drove home by sense of smell! Te result was a draw in the match if i remember right

Sometimes a good place for late in the year sunny days, nice and sheltered and not a bad town either.

Bournemouth was a place of childhood holidays, I love this part of the country - looks a bit grim, when you were there!
