Worcester Guildhall 1

Recently there was one of these Heritage open weekends, when buildings not normally open are opened to the public. The Guildhall in Worcester is open in part but for this event almost all of it was  so we went to have a look. Kathryn and Helen came too. If you look really hard you might just be able to see Helen in the top left of this picture.

Wow that is so wonderful to be able to catch this beautiful looooong hall with only little tiny Helen in the corner! smile

I can see someone but would not recognise Helen from so far away. A fine looking room and the floor gives great perspective here.

That is an impressive Guildhall with a beautiful ceiling. I remember that we had such an open heritage Day in our country on the same day (perhaps an European insitution? - wonderful!)
Did you dance along the hall inspired by Johann Strauss - in any case the ideal place for waltzing 1-2-3-....

Not only open but allowing cameras - apparently the initiative is now short of funding so you may have had a unique day. Fine perspective.

On the estate near me, they have these open weekends,but they call them burglaries! Some place, Bill.

Fine room to run shuttle relay races in the wet winter months.
I wonder how often they have to replace the floor polishing machine.

Bill Phillips: It is inded Tom. The Guildhall is a fine building and has survived the wholesale demolition of many good buildings in the 60s and 70s
