I am not much into retail facades, Bill...unless they are overflowing hardware stores that exude abandoned gaity!

Did you find a place that sells pipes, ropes, screws and assorted fasteners?
Bill Phillips: In a word....no

Strangely enough this town was on the TV last night & I looked at the atlas to see how easy it is to drive there without falling into the Bristol Channel
Bill Phillips: I would advise sticking to the raods

I miss the Welsh dragon on the flags - but I am especially interested in the Ted Bear Shop -and even yellow bear is sitting there! Mr. Pig might be envious! "For the Love of Cake" sounds really sweet -oldfashioned!
Bill Phillips: I had to be dragged away from the cake shop

I especially like the creative names for the shops, Bill, and the ones that are so obvious, like the Yellow Bear shop. smile
Bill Phillips: There was one called the Miserable Cow Cafe....Ange want's to have lunch there next time we go :d

A nice town to visit and a lot to see....I bet you went into the Bear Shop...
Wonderful collage.
Bill Phillips: I rarely actually go into shops if I can avoid doing so Lady P. Unlike my namesake from Bath.

Nice to see some individuality, although I think there is a Teddy Bear shop in Stratford.
Bill Phillips: All dress as Shakespeare no doubt :d

No Mr Pig shops, Bill?
Bill Phillips: Not even aPork Butcher Lisl.
Its not Blackpool Bill.
Bill Phillips: For that we can all be thankful Mick

Nah, you can keep on telling me to watch the next picture. You missed the mid-september Abergavenny food fair solidly. Bad planning ...
Bill Phillips: 12th October Louis....not to be missed
I can imagine you in the Teddy Bear shop looking for pigs.
Bill Phillips: You seem to have an odd image of me Mary......
Was this the birth place of Mr Pig? I think I'd spend some time in the cake shop smile
Bill Phillips: I was dragged away from the cake shop Martin
Beautiful and colourful collage Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. It was nice to see some shops that aren't the same ones you see in almost every town
Maureen would have gone for the Teddy bear shop while I went for the cake shop!
Bill Phillips: Division of labour is a good idea Brian.
Nice array of shop fronts.
Bill Phillips: At least they are not like the shops everywhere else.
Shackelton and Richard's ( Barry and Viv were great cricketers) Not so sure about the batting averages of teddy bear and cake though.
Bill Phillips: Arthur Cake, 1907-1963 Played for Gloucestershire. Left hand bat but bowled righthanded, off spin. Scored 15,256 1st class runs at an vaerage of 29.6 and took 756 wickets at an average of 21.6 his nickname was Victoria...as in Victoria Sponge.
Wot, no Boots, Clinton Cards, Greggs, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Poundshop, Smiths, etc. What a boring place!!
Bill Phillips: There was a Smiths I think..
... ah yes, the love of cake never fails...
Bill Phillips: Never smile
Pink seems to be the colour of choice for many pastry shops, Bill. I wonder if it is picked for psychological reasons.
Bill Phillips: Perhaps they think women are the target audience
A fine old market town as featured on Sunday's 'Countryfile' must be a shame the cattle market is moving.
Bill Phillips: going to be a morrisons i believe
