Bill's Paradise...thats what the slugs call the place!
Bill Phillips: So much for my live and let live approach to gardening....it is war!!
Remarkable! I've never seen them so close. We don't have them here, though I have some small snails in my pond.
Bill Phillips: You are lucky. They like it wet!

I never come them so close - is that love?
Bill Phillips: It is as near as they get.
This has to be a great shot Bill... because i have never seen them up this close... and never doing that!!!smile ....petersmile
Bill Phillips: They are hermaphrodites and the details of how they go about their reproduction would make your eyes water.

That's a really nice shot ... but EWWW! I remember stepping on them as a kid in my bare feet on warm, wet summer nights.
Bill Phillips: not a pleasant experience...it is bad enough if you are wearing boots
hasn't
Bill Phillips: I knew what you meant
Slugs are my arch enemies. They devastate my garden in spring. What is the blue jelly?
Bill Phillips: The next generation in the making Mary
Yech - horrible beasties, they do say the best thing is to sink a can in the ground and fill it up with beer - they can't resist it.
Bill Phillips: This is my plan for next year.
Graeme stole my comment! They feel awful if one treads on one in the dark!
Bill Phillips: They are repellent creatures. I'm planning to drown them in beer next year
We've had many of them in the garden this year Bill!

Oh my word! Should be intruding on such scenes? And on a Sunday, too. Horrible things but you've captured them well.
