Wales has always been at the cutting edge of fashion.
Bill Phillips: I'm sure that is so Graeme.
Why is that man wearing a shower curtain? smile
Bill Phillips: It's a free country Larry.
I think that they are a charming old couple Bill... but i don't know how long she will let him dress like that ! lol....petersmile
Bill Phillips: This is an interim form of clothing. suddenly he will throw off this chrysalis to reveal a fashionable butterfly.

"Drop yer head back just a little more, Luv, and you will get a glimpse of the entertainment I have packed for our holiday."
Bill Phillips: thank you Ray.............
I do hope I'll not lose all of my inhibitions with age.
Bill Phillips: Inhibitions are bad for you Elizabeth.

Haha, a very funny observation , at first I thought: a Buddhistic monk -oh yes, life looks like to be a difficult thing considering all the things the wife has to bear and the man has to put on without presenting his jewels...
Bill Phillips: This style of beach towel has been around for a long time but I haven't seen anybody ensuring their jewels are not exposed to public gaze by this method for a long time
I thought this was on the banks of the Ganges from the thumb ...

But the cross-dresser project is not going too well ... ''Mavis, the damn wind has blown my blonde wig away.''

I love Philine's phrase "presenting his jewels" - well let's hope he doesn't present 'em in public...
Bill Phillips: I sniggered loudly Tiffo
Fiddler on the beach.
Bill Phillips: Well he can't see what he is doing so he can fiddle and get away with it.

If one wants to go in for cross dressing one should at least appear relatively fashionable.
Bill Phillips: I bet you wouldn't

Is this a new fashion for beachwear Bill.
Bill Phillips: I can remember seeing this sort of thing on the beach when i was a kid Peter.
I thought fashion week was in Milan? Cutting edge this, Bill. smile
Bill Phillips: I bet you don't get anything as exciting as this on Blackpool beach Frank
Thank goodness I have learned to swallow my coffee before clicking on your blog. I would title this - How to Bag a Man.
Bill Phillips: I can remember seeing these quite often on the beach but this was the first one I'd seen in a long time
clever accessory!
Bill Phillips: Well it is a lot easier than a normal towel smile
I thought this was a holy man too grin What a great idea, better than messing around with a towel at the waist.
Bill Phillips: I haven't seen one of these in years Martin.
Lol at Ray's comment, indeed comment of the day for me. Surely at his age nobody would take the slightest notice anyway.
Bill Phillips: Ray is incorrigible Brian.

He certainly looks more comfortable than his friend lying on the rocks!
Bill Phillips: Indeed she looks very uncomfortable. Perhaps she was poised to spring into action if something went wrong with his towel grin
I agree with Brian. Ray's comment is comic gold. This image will be tickling my funny bone for the rest of the day, Bill. Thank you!
Bill Phillips: Ray is a very naughty Australian grin Pleased you had a bit of a chuckle Beverly.

Buddhist monk? Which reminds me I once watched a group of Hasidic Jews bath in there undergarments on the beach here, they baptised each other, fully immersed, quite a sight.
Bill Phillips: It takes all sorts as they say grin

Hhahahah at Ray! Typical! smile Good for him for wanting to get his kit off.
Bill Phillips: I'm not sure if he was taking it off or putting it back on. how's the US tour going?
Very nice candid shot Bill. I want a beach cloth like this one!
Bill Phillips: I suppose it makes getting changed easier....well safer anyway!!

Buddhist monk - Hassidic Jews - baptised - oh, how higgledy-piggledy they are talking which might match the mess around the woman! I remember well to have often seen this kind of beach towel at our sea, very practical to be used only by men.
Another helpful variant at our beaches is to spread out a large towel -while holding by hands- in front of a canopied chair behind which he or she can put on or off the undies. But this variant has no chance here because a look- around- view. The stony beach doesn't look very inviting, and the lady doesn't seem to feel comfortable in her position as packhorse. The funniest photo we ever had on SC!!!
Bill Phillips: It certainly seems to have got people's imaginations working! These sorts of towels were around when I was a child but used by women more than men I seem to recall.

I think that woman is trying to struggle out of her trousers without an enveloping garment
Bill Phillips: Or back into them. Maybe she is just trying to pretend he isn't there

EXTRA COMMENT FROM THE iPad

Safe sex on the beach.
Bill Phillips: See Philine's comment and You tube link
Very amusing Bill - I do wonder why he couldn't just make do with a towel and give his presumed wife the all cover?
Bill Phillips: Who knows Fred? Daft as these things look they are actually quite a good idea grin
"The personal CHANGE-TENT gives you privacy on the most crowded beach - comes with a hat for the ladies."
Bill Phillips: They are back in fashion. Philine has posted a you tube clip!
