It is wonderful to see his work in color - you can see the love in his face for his creation!
Bill Phillips: Pleased you like it Elizabeth. He was certainly absorbed in his work
i like it because it shows off his painting much better Bill... but the B&W was much more dramatic....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Yes it was Peter,

Both versions have their "reasons," Bill, but this is especially good, I agree. It makes you wonder how long he's been doing his sidewalk creations!
Bill Phillips: I have no idea but I imagine for quite some time Ginnie

I agree, Bill - there are some lovely colours here
Bill Phillips: I took these pictures intending them to be b&w, but i did like this

Very good. I suppose he does this for a living. I could think of better ways to earn a crust though
Bill Phillips: A bit hard on the knees at our age Chris....that and i can't draw

Both versions are good, this is the colorful. However the B&W is great too because of the angle you took. This shows his artwork better.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Lady P. you have summed it up beautifully.

It tells a different story - but I prefer the B&W.
Bill Phillips: Not as intense as the b&w but I just liked this
So do i.
Bill Phillips: Fair enough Mick

Colour has it for me. There are more subtle tone chnages here that are often lost in conversion to mono.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Alan. The original intention was b&w but I liked this
Much better in colour! I can feel his knees having spent five weeks on mine one time doing a painting on my floor.
Bill Phillips: I'd be struggling to get up!!

I agree that colour is the only way here, despite what other might say.
Bill Phillips: As always i value your opinion Chad
I like your perspective Bill, it looks like you were alongside him - a nice portrait smile
Bill Phillips: I was sat on a bench about 20 feet away
Not only love the colour, Bill, but the content is marvellous, also. You are telling a story with this image. Well done!
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much. he looks an interesting character

Although there is a lot to like about this supreme effort, the mono version is still fetching the gold.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Louis. The original intention was for this to be b&w too but I liked it like this
Yes, I like this one too - cloning out that stuff behind his head would probably improve it a bit.
Bill Phillips: I did think of that but decided it gave it context in a way. Art outside Debenhams grin
I like this better than the mono because of the colour which I feel it definitely needs.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Brian
So do I Bill. I find that colours give a nice depth to the image!
Bill Phillips: I found i liked this version Richard
Lots of character, good shot.
Bill Phillips: Cheers john
I dunno. Totally different picture. This is a good one. (I'm going to bang on about cropping again! Take out the window dressing junk!)
Really nice work. I hope it doesn't rain for a while...
