Not a bad weekender, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Plenty of room on the lawn for a BBQ
Great collage Bill... i would hate to pay their heating bills.... that four poster bed looks like only very small people would have room in it... love the bottom right... you should post it on its own....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Optical illusion, these ancient beds are actually as long as modern ones
Great collage! Elizabethan times were rather gaudy weren't they!
Bill Phillips: Having tapestries adorning your walls was a proclamation of your wealth in Elizabethan times. Bess of Hardwick was very, very rich!

Right then - whadda we have here? I can see carpets on the walls, copper in the kitchen and what looks to me like a woman getting intimate with a chair. I'm sure this fetish has an intriguing name: p'raps Ray Storey will know...
Bill Phillips: Conservation is the word you are looking for

a fine collage of a very pompous, elegant, rich manour house! A Victorian kitchen?
Bill Phillips: Yes I would think the kitchen is Victorian. Bess of Hardwick was one of the richest and most powerful women in Elizabethan times, second only to the Queen herself!

Tapestry - the Elizabethan equivalent of colour TV? Nice house shot bottom right.
Bill Phillips: 50 inch home cinema at least!
Too much for me. Nice shot of the building on bottom right.
Bill Phillips: Too much?

A fine collage summing up Hardwick very well. I will now have to delay my planned series till later on in the year methinks.
Bill Phillips: They'll have forgotten these by Tomorrow Brian grin

Bill Phillips: No good you buying it, you wouldn't have a clue how to use it

I remember doing some work here for the Conservation Corps way back in the 70s. These images have reminded me what a wonderful place it is
Bill Phillips: It is indeed and, of course, the old hall is right next door
Lovely presentation of this beautiful place Bill!
Bill Phillips: I thank you Richardsmile
Oh my gosh... I so remember this place on my one & only trip to England in 1998. Great collage... it sparked fun memories of the whole trip. : )
Bill Phillips: Sounds like it is time you visited again smile
