Looks like a replica of Venice, Bill...scummy water and all!
Bill Phillips: We can do scummy water as well as anyone Ray
I like this very much Bill... now will do you have to wait another couple years for another sunny day in Gloucester lol....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Many a true word Peter smile
I like the blue on the building on the right!
Bill Phillips: The modern building sits quite well alongside the old warehouse buildings

That warehouse museum is a very interesting place to visit
Bill Phillips: I think we went once years ago. There used to be robert Opie's Package museum here which was really fascinating. Sadly it went out of business!

I see that Boat Friday has barged it's way into Wednesday.
Bill Phillips: I'm just a bit of a rebel

These waterways in your country have quite taken me by surprise, Bill. I never had a clue before the last couple of years, seeing them for myself!
Bill Phillips: Gloucester was once an important Dock. happily the old buildings have been retained and put to good use

a fine floating harbour area. newly restored? -with Wade blue windows -and fine reflections - in the evening surely a leisure and recreation centre for the inhabitants like in Bristol, Birmingham, Dusseldorf ...
Bill Phillips: Shopping, recreation, museum and an Antiques centre, not to mention the various boats. 5 minutes walk away is also the Cathedral

Gloucester has a lot to offer, Bill
Bill Phillips: It does indeed Lisl. We go shopping there from time to time

A good example of a building actually fitting the location. Good photo Bill.
Bill Phillips: Agreed Mike. It salutes the old warehouse buildings without being a pastiche

It is good to see docks preserved and converted to alternative use but I do find them a little sterile compared to their original purpose. However, one cannot have everything in life.
Bill Phillips: Agreed. Mind you I suspect the conditions in it's original manifestation could have stood a bit of sterilizing

... and you treaded water, then?
Bill Phillips: I treaded on a bridge
I thought it was a flooded street but if there is a boat on it you're in trouble.
Bill Phillips: All part of the docks Mary
Lets turn the clock back with skies like that Bill.
Bill Phillips: Might see some this weekend Peter
I believe this is a place well worthy of a visit.
Bill Phillips: It's only about 45 minutes from us and we take Helen and Andy shopping there every so often
To remember a sunny day a couple of years ago is pretty good going smile An interesting looking place Bill.
Bill Phillips: Easier than remembering a wet one
A very nice perspective with the reflections Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Richard

Not that has changed since I was last there. I',m sure those buildings with the blue window frames were not there then.
Bill Phillips: It has been developed a lot over the last few years Alan
Like watching paint dry.
Bill Phillips: Ba**ocks wink
All right then, as dull as dock water.
Bill Phillips: It is what they call a record shot. sort of thing you see on a calendar (Usually in the remainder bin)
This almost looks like toy-town Bill - I vaguely remember this from my visits many years ago!
Bill Phillips: It has changed a lot over the years Fred
Hmm.. big barge. Wouldn't fancy having to turn it.
Bill Phillips: I would probably demolish the docks!
nice scene, love that deep shade of blue without a single wisp of a cloud
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ayush. We have had very few days like this this year but today sun is forecast!
