I suppose they are not racing at this point, not towing a water skier?
Bill Phillips: You should see then when they hit top speed Ray..... At least 4mph

a quiet, almost idyllic scene through Droitw├╝rst! I heard of Eton College, Cameron, Boris Johnson... are Etonians, but where is the connection with the picture- sorry, I am too stupid!
Bill Phillips: The song is a parody of the Eton boating song and it made me laugh. I was going to post the proper song originally but changed my mind to this.

Is this craft plying its way through the lush pastures of outer Droitich?
Bill Phillips: en route for the fleshpots of the town

I like the Eton Voting Song smile Fits this image nicely. Ye gods, though, hi vis vests on canal boats now. I even saw a pedestrian wearing one yesterday.
Bill Phillips: They are everywhere. Hardly worth buying any decent clothes as they are always covered in glowing yellow coats or vests

An ideal way to get to the next pub.
Bill Phillips: Can you be done for being drunk in charge of a boat?

Always a pleasant place to walk Bill are canals, just love the video.
Bill Phillips: Indeed they are Peter. Having our canal open again after about 40 years is great
I must say I have never seen a bricked river bank.
Bill Phillips: This is the Canal Mary, the river Salwarpe which runs through Droitwich is not much more than a stream
any subtle processing in this image? i like the exposure and the details. a lot to see here
Bill Phillips: Just a touch Ayush!
I've never been on one of those - must try it some time!
Bill Phillips: It has never appealed to me but I do love seeing these boats coming through the town...on the canal
I just love these narrow boats Bill! Fine capture.
Bill Phillips: so do I Richard, but I have never wanted to go on one

I turn up on a Saturday and lo, you are posting a boat Friday image.
Bill Phillips: In Australia by the time we see the boat Friday Pics it is Saturday.
This looks like some sort of passenger boat with all those windows. I guess this is one of the less salubrious parts of Droitwich.
Bill Phillips: I do believe you are right Brian. This is just coming into the canal basin
Bill Phillips: Indeed. There has been a lot of festive here this year Larry

Amazing song, goes well with the picture. I suppose the lads are in the boat drinking cider??
Jolly boat weather indeed.
Bill Phillips: They may well be Lady P.

Haha - I like the umbrella on the bank, I bet that hasn't been used as a sunscreen much this year!

Droitwich Spa was on the news this morning!
Bill Phillips: Revolting Dairy Farmers barricading Wiseman's dairy. I noticed this morning that Morrisons have actually reduced the price of their milk after announcing they were going to pay more to the farmers!
I like the flags they have on the boat - dresses it up a bit!
Bill Phillips: It was for the water festival, a colourful occasion
