Oh, a wonderful photo of our theatre, the first post-war theatre in Germany. Its modern architecture visibly contrasts with the “typical” Münster architecture, and the ruins of the former theatre were integrated in the modern architecture. This modern building was called a 'crack of thunder' in the fifties! Now we are proud to have such a big theatre (opera, oprerette, plays for adults and children, dance theatre, orchestra). I remember the evening when we were there - on a Dienstag indeed!
Bill Phillips: I think it is one of the best 50's buildings i have seen

Oh sorry, it was Monday evening, 14th May!
Bill Phillips: Indeed it was Philine
Would love to have seen this Bill rather than a pool of deepening darkness ... hey man what is all this pink stuff causing my eyes to go funny. This had the potential to be an interesting image ... but there you go.

Hope my beating you up so early in the day hasn't ruined your day.
Bill Phillips:

if you want to see the original.

Ahh - I recognize this. Your treatment is err...interesting
Bill Phillips: Duotone, I like it but you don't have to
And are you a student Mr Phillips?
Bill Phillips: I am a student in the University of life, but i think i am going to be sent down

Like this Bill, and the pink 'duotone' colouration. Prefer this to the colour version which just clutters with detail. Here we are left to savour the architecture which is surely the subject - not the traffic on the road!
Bill Phillips: Yes I wanted to bring out the building, which I rather liked. I was going to do a straight b&w but had a twiddle and came up with this!
I like the light on the buildings: showing them off smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin, that was my aim
I have agree with Elizabeth on this one. It is exactly how I feel when looking at it, that i'm standing still and the whole world is passing me by. Great composition and capture.
Bill Phillips: Than k you very much Sue

Stdent Day? What's that? is that the one day when they have to study? You and Chris seem to be very black and white recently; no colour?
Bill Phillips: I like b&w more than colour and might start posting mostly mono ...or i might not
Very nice picture!
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Victoria
Nice mix of dark and light
Bill Phillips: Thank you Janet

The foreground is a little dark on my monitor though I guess you did it to get rid of extraneous detail. I have to say I'm not a fan of the pink toning - wouldn't it look better in straight b/w?
Bill Phillips: That was the original intention but whilst twiddling I came up with this and liked it
The building stands out well, Bill. I get only a hint of foreground detail.
