Those pants are gonna split.
Bill Phillips: Down boy
I think I like cricket now too! smile
Bill Phillips: Hahahahaha!

I love it too, except the silly limited overs stuff. The idea of a game lasting several days and ending in a draw is endlessly fascinating
Bill Phillips: I am not overly keen on the T20 but I like the 50 over game. There is nothing to touch test cricket though. Only the English could invent a game that needs five days of decent weather, in a climate where that rarely happens
Nice action shot Bill. I used to enjoy it when I was living in RSA!
Bill Phillips: It is the best game in the world as far as I am concerned Richard

LOL at Elizabeth. grin

One day I'd like to see an entire game of cricket with someone sitting next to me explaining the rules of the game! In return, I'd explain our American football. smile
Bill Phillips: She is getting cheeky! I would happily take you Ginnie, and you wouldn't have to explain American football as Jason used to play it. You could explain the attraction of baseball though grin
I never realised that you had a fascination for the male posterior Bill.
Bill Phillips: It is all in the pursuit of art Richard

I think we foreigners should know more about cricket to understand the Englishm mentality! The game looks very powerful and male - I say this while looking at your powerful shot!
Bill Phillips: Yes indeed Philine. It is a powerful game but is also played by women. In fact it was women who invented overarm bowling as they fond bowling underarm meant the ball got caught in their skirts, which in the 19th Century were, of course, modestly long.
Is it a 'sticky wicket', Bill, and why do they call a line a 'crease', I wonder? Good action shot!
Bill Phillips: Don't get sticky wickets these days Neil now that they are covered. No idea why it is called the crease, and why popping crease???
Super action shot. (:o)
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Ros
Great take Bill. I used to play cricket in Southwick-Brighton uhm...in 1966. I loved it & yr picture has make me evoke those great times for me.
Bill Phillips: It is a wonderful game but one I never had any ability at

I love to watch - I just wish I had been a better player!
Bill Phillips: I had no ability at all sadly.

Tresothwick is a Somerset (my team) hero. I like cricket very much too Bill.
Bill Phillips: I followed Somerset when I was a Kid as they were the nearest 1st class county. Trescothick is still a damn fine player. I think he made a double Century against Worcester in this match and Worcester were thrashed!
Loved playing it, never really watched it, except as scorer for Bowburn Colliery Welfare First XI smile Didn't realise that Trollope had written a fantasy novel, with a hint of sci-fi - if you can get hold of "The Fixed Period" you might enjoy his futuristic version of a cricket match smile
Bill Phillips: I have no ability as a player but love to watch the game. I will look out for that book
A great action shot Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin. This was at New road Worcester last season

I thought there were just 11 a side... so why is this guy wearing no. 7? I like a bit more action in my sports - the 2 lap cycle GB world record was more my sort of event.
Bill Phillips: They have squad numbers these days for some reason. It is a common misconception that cricket lacks action. It has action, drama, agony and ecstasy. There is no game quite like it.

I don't really like cricket, but I like your picture, Bill
Bill Phillips: I don't like cricket...I love it. Actually isn't that from a song? grin
A fine action shot Bill but where's all the wheels and engines, and chequered flags and all that.
Bill Phillips: This is CRICKET Brian. CRICKET.
A good action shot you managed here. I wonder how long it took to get. I am not a cricket fan, but at least I can ignore it on TV, unlike football which is all noise.
Silly mid-off?
