photoblog image St Peter's Manor

St Peter's Manor

We are still in Droitwich...wake up Tiffo... and here we have St Peter's Manor. Now I have included this not just because it is a magnificent photograph (Shut up Shaw) but because it was recently up  for sale and could have been yours for a touch under  £1,000,000 or about 77758131 Indian rupees. I am not sure if it has been sold or taken off the market

Apologies for lack of comments or replies. i have a nasty bout of man flu and am off to wallow in self pity. Will catch up as soon as possible

I believe that discounted price is available because the hedge shrubs has got that awful disfiguring disease called topiary, Bill...you were a wise bloke to keep your wallet in your trouser pocket.
Bill Phillips: I like topiary!
I kinda like the topiary...
Bill Phillips: Me too. This is fairly basic but some you see is amazing!
very nice.
our place is slightly more modern looking, not sure which one I prefer.......
price tag is ridiculous, you wanna be in Perth... ugh
smile
Bill Phillips: Was watching the Sri Lanka v Australia ODI from Perth last night. Looks a fine city...if a bit hot for me!

At first I thought the image was on sale for a touch under £1,000,000, Bill...and then I got it. HA! grin

Seriously, it's a gorgeous domicile. A bit too big for my own tastes but I could enjoy a day or two there as in a B&B!
Bill Phillips: Mr Shaw would willingly pay that much for one of my pictures Ginnie grin

Who are you trying to kid?

I know Droitwich has b&w houses in this mock Tudor style and is not simply a collection of 1970s semis placed in no particular order over the landscape. I also know that Mr Shaw is a VERY GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER!
Bill Phillips: 1054 ST PETER'S CHURCH LANE

St Peter's Manor
SO 96 SW 3/2 24.10.51.

II

2.
Early C17. Timber frame and plaster. A regular house of 2 storeys and attics.
3 restored moulded wood transomed-mullioned 8-light windows. Shallow tiled
pentice roof along 1st floor, extended frontally over modern doorway in early
C17 style. 3 gables, each with 3-light windows, modern bargeboards and finials.
Stone stack to side, rebuilt above in brick. Modern or restored moulded brick
stacks elsewhere. Machine tiles. The house was formerly the home of Dr Nash,
historian of Worcestershire and editor of Samuel Butler's "Hudibras".

How much is Shaw paying you?
I'm reading between the lines on your rupee reference.
Bill Phillips: You are very perceptive Mr Trim

one of the typically English jewels of Tudor style (?) framework buildings! Droitwich is wonderful! The NT should look after this manor house? No parking -right!
Bill Phillips: It is a privately owned home Philine and is a 17th century listed building.
The picture and the house want taking of the market , in fact they both want taking of the planet.Have you thought of another hobby.
Bill Phillips: And to think I was worried that you wouldn't like this Mr Shaw
This will have the traditionalists drooling. It looks like a real old English country manor house.

Wrap up warm and snuggle down on the sofa and enjoy your traditional man-flu, Bill. Get better soon.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sheila. At least i got some sleep last night! The house is 17th century and is a grade II listed building

Very nice processing and light in this Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Fred
I like your photo. The light is hitting some spots and adds interest.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mary

Man flu - I recommend at least a fortnight in bed with all your favourite treats brought up to you by handmaidens. Well that or a glass of lucozade and a Beechams powder followed by being shoved back into action!
Bill Phillips: As usual when I get a cold it dives straight on my chest and I am coughing fit to bust! Must admit I felt totally crap yesterday but at least I got some sleep last night so I should be fully recovered in a month or so grin

Gute Besserung, Bill! Ja, mit Manflu ist nicht zu spaßen, und es ist gut, im Bett zu bleiben und sich ein bisschen verwöhnen zu lassen!
Bill Phillips: Ich werde mich auf zu kämpfen
It looks a fine house Bill, a bit out of your pocket perhaps.
Bill Phillips: In a word Brian...Yes!

I like the light in this Bill smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Martin
I'm taken with the chimney pots and the elaborately designed brick wall, Bill.

Hope you feel better soon.
Bill Phillips: 17th century Beverly and is a listed building. I am feeling better apart from a terrible cough!
A lovely house. The lighting is superb.
Get well soonest Bill!
Bill Phillips: I'll be fine once i stop coughing!

I like Droitwich even more with houses like this, I would love to go and look round it smile
Bill Phillips: If it comes back on the market you could!
You will persist with the notion that Droitwich is a real place, Bill - everyone knows it's just a pre-war radio spot on the dial - I'll bet this was somewhere outside of Stratford smile
Bill Phillips: You got me there Tom..it is indeed outside Stratford. About 22 miles outside wink
No such thing as man flu, be a man and get on with things, that includes bad oh very bad photography. Wimp.
Bill Phillips: Thank you for your kind words Mick. I can feel my spirits soaring
i fine building. very well captured especially in this light
Bill Phillips: It is a lovely house Ayush. 17th Century.

A nasty bout of man flu? You would have been a woman and something worse than the flu would have had you with the tides of the moon.

By the price you would have thought it is St Peter's Gate.
Bill Phillips: hose prices in the UK are still beyond ridiculous Louis
