The High Street

Yes we are still in Droitwich. As you can see from the cars times are hard and people can't afford to update to the latest models. Still at least these are so slow that people feel safe to walk in the road without fear of being run over.

Droitwich is a busy, vibrant, vivid, living town -with lovely oldtimers! And the kids prefer pink as colour! Is there SALE SALE SALE? (We know here only the Word SALE SALE SALE!)
Bill Phillips: There seem to be sales all the time Philine.

I cannot but help notice there is a monster storm brewing back there, powerful enough to wipe this place from the face of the earth
Bill Phillips: That is just wishful thinking on your part

I shouldn't be telling you this, Bill, but I spent the first day of my honeymoon here!!
Bill Phillips: Really! Dare I ask when this was? did you stay in Droitwich at all or just passing through?

No escape from the High St blight of the "Discount" shops these days is there!
Bill Phillips: If you remove them, hairdressers, Estate Agents and charity shops there isn't much left Mike
I guess the guy with the bleached hair has never looked in a mirror.
Bill Phillips: Haha Actually I think he is just grey!

The charming residents of this most English of spa towns safely walk on the delightful cobbled High Street which sinks down into the earth beyond.
Bill Phillips: It does indeed Chad.
Wonderful - clearly these poeple are all actually film extras filmning a tale of the mythical town of Droitwich!
Bill Phillips: You really should visit the film set one of these days tom. I can show you the scaffolding behind the fa├žade of the High Street and you will see that the famous Chateau Impney is really made from polystyrene
Looks a wonderful place Bill.Reminds me of Fleetwood.
Bill Phillips: It's a bit further to the beach though Mick
Great shot of a tough neighborhood Bill... but i think that you are full of it today... it is a Classic car and Cartridge display...good trygrin....petersmile
Bill Phillips: What do you mean to imply? wink
People of Droitwich walk a lot so are very healthy.
Bill Phillips: We are brimming with health...well I'm actually coughing fit to bust and with a head full of cold

Would loved to walk down there Bill would have had a field day.
Bill Phillips: They seem to roll out the old cars at every event in the town.

I prefer the times are hard cars! smile This is a very busy high street, the cars must have been the attraction for most smile
Bill Phillips: We all like looking at old cars, particularly if we have owned one like it!
A beautiful street scene Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Richard
This looks like a fine old English shopping street, not much in the way of these awful shops with branches in every city, town and village, although I guess you might have them elsewhere in the town.
Bill Phillips: We have some but there are a lot of empty shops too!
nice crisp image of this street scene. love the light here
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Ayush.
with them cars its like a step back in time like the vignette too
Bill Phillips: I know cars are much more reliable and safer now but these have so much more style!
great shot, the vignette makes it, as do the vintage cars
Bill Phillips: There were some fine old classics on show...and i mean the cars!
