photoblog image Abstract

Abstract

Abstract photography is unlike most other types of photography - rules, such as composition and accurate focusing hold no values. The abstract photographer uses his creative imagination to create stunning works of art.

Abstract photography is a process of using colours and patterns combined to create an image, with no true meaning or no clear subject involved. Abstract photography is not necessarily going to mean the same thing to everyone. Abstract photography leaves more to the imagination and helps us concentrate on texture and colour rather than the whole subject.

I can get away with murder then!

Bill Phillips: They are grape hyacinths Ginnie...well I think they are smile

Abstract photography can also mean producing something of questionable artistic merit where focus & composition are deemed an irrelevance
Bill Phillips: What like the Hive in Worcester?

Yes, spring time is approaching- in three months - in our imagination -your words sound very wise today -like teacher's/Meisterworte, I should apprentice to you!
Bill Phillips: I saw dome daffodils in bloom in a garden the other day and plenty of snowdrops
I think Mr T got out of the wrong side of the bed today. Its a good start Bill, carry on with them.
Bill Phillips: I'm not really into abstract Mick. More a choccie box happy snapper grin

Bill, I never know what I am going to be confronted with on your blog. There is no style that seems to be uniquely yours, only all styles. This is very good btw.
Bill Phillips: Variety is the spice of life Chad

Total abstraction is not my cup of tea Bill, but I do prefer it to chocky box. This is rather a chocky box abstraction tho' ;o) Interested to see more.
Bill Phillips: Nor mine but i like the concept of choccie box abstract grin
Absolutely get away with it then Bill. And discover what all those unusual settings on the camera are. Take it off auto and experiment. And just think of all those image editing experiments. I've had some of those on here and received compliments.
Bill Phillips: I've got more settings than you can shake a stick at. The flaming manual that came with the camera is over 300 pages long!
Pretty colours.
Bill Phillips: They are indeed Mary

I like this Bill for the colours and textured effect: it is visually pleasing; keep on creating smile
Bill Phillips: OK I will
Certainly considerably more creative & adventurous than taking endless photos of butterflies Bill - look forward to seeing more.
Bill Phillips: Hahahahahaha!! Cheers Fred
You can get away with it Bill but Abstract photography is not for me I'am afraid.
Bill Phillips: Nor me really. All that technology and it's out of focus!

I really like it! I love the colours, I think you have achieved a good abstract smile
Bill Phillips: I'm not really into abstract but it makes a change smile
A bit of hard selling for a soft abstract Bill, but I buy in smile
Bill Phillips: i'm not really into abstracts and this was actually an accident!
Beauty ... in the eyes of something or someone! A curious little challenge here, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Well indeed it is Neil smile

Quite right, Bill. Do you what you want and stuff the "rule book"!
Bill Phillips: I always have Alan. Probably explains my less than successful career grin
This is a piece of art Mr Twiddler!
Bill Phillips: smile Sure is Richard
I've heard all sorts of excuses over the years for "crap" photos, including yours, but actually I really like it, parts of it have the feeling of a watercolour painting for me.
Bill Phillips: Crap!!! My photos!! Surely you are thinking of someone else Brian grin

O sure, you get away with murder. Sometimes you have to wait until the camera is in focus.
LOVE the abstract!!!!! Great colours.
Bill Phillips: What is this focus everyone talks about? I used to have a Ford Focus once upon a time grin
Absolutely right. Have another drink!
Bill Phillips: Don't mind if I do smile

You are right about getting away with it. In the olden days "abstract" referred to a synopsis of the full monty. Now it describes !@#$%^ that real good artists like you sometimes dish up.

But then, the colours and image is well balanced, proving you can do abstract smile
Bill Phillips: I can serve up !@#$%^ with the best of them grin
