The paving is interesting, Bill...so is your B&W rendition.
Bill Phillips: The wetness added to the interest, if not to the enjoyment of wandering around the city

Very arty Bill. I like the view through the arch and then the curve of the building going in to the distance.
Bill Phillips: Ooooo arty. i like that

a fine composition and perspective -an interesting pavement!
Bill Phillips: Yes it is nice. This was not far away from the Cathedral as I recall
Nice framing, composition and treatment in BW...Good shot!

Saludos desde EspaƱa!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Eduardo. I hope you are having a good weekend

You've really travelled haven't you: Wells, Bristol - wherever next?

Our outside thermometer reads -9C at present: I am seriously considering hibernation
Bill Phillips: Have just got back from book sale. It just started to snow as we were packing up and is snowing quite steadily now, don't think it will come to much though. It was friggin cold this morning

I was going to Bristol today, and would have seen this - but the temperature in the car at 0730 was minus 9, so decided not to venture!
Bill Phillips: don't blame you. As I recall this is quite close to the Cathedral. I was actually born in Bristol, but only lived there until I was about 6 months old! grin
Unfortunately the vehicle actually helps in this image.
Bill Phillips: yeah............ I don't mind it and don't know if it matters either way.
That's a pretty unique building.
Bill Phillips: Quite handsome. Built in the 30s I think, though no doubt some one will correct me if I am wrong
like the perspective on this one
Bill Phillips: Thank you Ayush.
Nicely framed Bill the dampness in the stones makes it for me.

Caught me out on the song.
Bill Phillips: Yes the rain helped the picture but didn't make wandering around the city a lot of fun! I always detested this song!

I like the photo Bill, but would lose the keystone intruding into the top of the frame!
Bill Phillips: I think it might be a light but you are right it would be better without it

What next? A video from the elusive Judy Bridgewater?
Bill Phillips: Melissa Manchester perhaps....trouble is I haven't got any pictures of Manchester...or Bridgewater come to think of it
You found a good angle here Bill, a good composition although unlike Richard I feel it would have been better without the vehicle but no doubt there was nothing you cold do about that without a towtruck!
Bill Phillips: I am neutral about the vehicle Brian. I suppose i could clone it out
A nice composition the arch and the curve look good together.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Martin
A lovely perspective Bill. The wetness makes the floor quite interesting!
Bill Phillips: Yes the rain certainly helped Richard
I mistook this for Bath, when I saw the curved frontage; I don't recall visiting Bristol; this part looks nice: certainly good in this pic smile
Bill Phillips: Parts of Bristol are very nice indeed but, like most cities, there are some nasty bits
Nicely unusual view, Bill
Bill Phillips: Thank you muchly Tom
This is very well framed to give it such depth Bill... i like the B&W treatment and the reflections on the wet pavement....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Peter

This is a wonderful pic with all its circles and curves. I'm being a bit picky but I would have gone for the full arch at the top, which echoes the curve in the paving below. Lovely and damp, too!
Bill Phillips: Not picky at all I agree with you and was miffed I had chopped it off!
I like the composition very much- and lots of different shapes! Processing is great!
