Oh, I love Lynmouth, especially the like sleeping seadogs resting 'mountains' along the coast - but I have to confess that I saw this seaside resort in colours on a lovely, sunny day. Yes, we heard about the terrible flood -the Lyn is a wild river!
Bill Phillips: It was cold and miserable this day but, luckily for Helen and Andy, the rest of their week was much nicer and they had a lovely time

Even taken from this adventurous angle the location of the place would not be lost on me. This is a good bit o' b&w
Bill Phillips: One of the finest bits of North Devon
Lovely composition and processing Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Richard

Excellent Bill - this is a great B&W. The wooded cliff looking like a sleeping black cat by the fire. Excellent use of the vignette and the bright pebbles/stones in the foreground give a wonderful crispness to the image.
Bill Phillips: The sky was a bit nothing and this was the best i could manage

Looks rough and cold. Wonderful POV. 2008... time flies. Have a great weekend.
Bill Phillips: It was!! Luckily the rest of their week was a lot better and they had a nice time....but 4 years ago.....heavens grin
It makes us realise how impotent humans can appear and be, against the wrath of nature doing its worst.
Bill Phillips: Against nature we are puny Richard
Has it got a bit of a tilt? Or is that the wine I had for dinner?
Bill Phillips: It's the wine....I have just consumed a glass or two of red. The slope of the beach does give a bit of a feeling that it slopes but the sea is straight grin

Yes it isn't
Bill Phillips: Yes what isn't what?
We've been there twice and think what a nice place it is, the flood must have been a terrible experience to go through. BTW Maureen and I spent an hour or so with Les Auld at the GCR Gala at Quorn today, chatted, watched and photographed the trains, what a civilised way to pass the time.
Bill Phillips: Sounds like a good way to spend the day, particularly if the weather was as nice as it was here. cold but blue skies and sunshine

Your image could have been taken just a few days after the floods, too. There's a lovely chippie just off to the right.
Bill Phillips: I think i know the one you mean. i don't think it was open at the time.
