Nice picture Bill, and even here in the US, some of us know Bobby Charlton. Ex Manchester United player, and now a director of the club.
Bill Phillips: I think he is probably the finest ambassador fore the game we have ever produced. A wonderful player and a true gentleman

I like it best when they get caught in a stuff side-breeze, Bill
Bill Phillips: Don't we all? :d
Could also be Prince Charles I'm thinking!
Bill Phillips: LOL!! Charles can't play football to save his life.

The comb-over: you just don't see that let's-pretend-I'm-not-bald look any more. And that is probably a very good thing
Bill Phillips: It is a rarity these days now they have new hair sewn in place and dye it with just 5 minutes and look like Mitt Romney. (He should be on the God Channel, not running for President)
Bobby Charlton evokes so many great souvenirs Bill. Fine capture!
Bill Phillips: He was a wonderful player and is a great ambassador for the game Richard

If you're talking about the comb-over, Bill, I have never understood why guys think it is more appraling than showing off their bald head!!! DUH!
Bill Phillips: I am indeed. It is the same with all this hair dye just leaving the sideburns silver! Mitt Romney springs to mind grin

If I lose my hair I shall grow my ear hair and comb that over my head.
Bill Phillips: The dreadful thing is I almost believe you

Lol at Chad!
I would have to get a shaver to this, he would also look younger too! smile
Bill Phillips: I am fortunate to still have some hair but I could never do this!
Your time may well come Mr Phillips
Bill Phillips: I shall just go bald and wear a cap
Your time may well come Mr Phillips
Bill Phillips: Ditto
Is this a young Chris and Chad.
Bill Phillips: Oh Gawd....it could be!

Whenever I see the back of my head in a photo, I always think that there is some strange lighting effect that makes me look folically-challenged.

Bobby Charlton was from the good old days when footballers were sportsmen and not revered as "celebs" as the super Gods of today are.
Bill Phillips: The days when I used to enjoy watching football

Perhaps I should have a re-think - It looks quite stylish, no?
Bill Phillips: In a word Mike.....No
We had a builder come in to do a job and he grew his hair long at the back and then combed it forward over the top and cut a fringe across the front, the words head and knob come to mind in no particular order. I just make the best with what I've got left these days. Anyway everything people say about Bobby Charlton is right, oh that today's footballers were like him.
Bill Phillips: Sir Bobby was a credit on the field and continues to be off the field
Fine image, Bill - and, as for Bobby - you mean that there are people who may never of heard of him? They'd never believe that in Ashington!
Bill Phillips: It was said that you could go to almost any country in the world and the two English words that people could say were Bobby Charlton!

A crafty back pass though, something bobby never mastered smile
Bill Phillips: What would Best Law and Charlton be worth today?
