Some good positions, before rolling the ball Bill. Nice action shots.
Bill Phillips: Sadly he wasn't very good....mind you none of us were!

I think he is in training to take on both those Russian Heavyweights at the same time, Bill.
Bill Phillips: He would lose

.... okay let me explain one more time....
First you come in from the back.
After that you give them your best smile, then you ask....
'Did you see my left'
'Well my right is just around the corner.
In the end I just pick you up and carry you to the dumpertruck....
A game of 'Skittles' .... I don't think so... wink
Great series of pictures.
Bill Phillips: Skittles it was. He wasn't very good but none of us were. Perhaps he would be better at boxingsmile
I thought Skittles were candy? Gotta open up Wikipedia (again!)
Bill Phillips: It is like ten pin bowling only with nine pins and a small wooden ball. Candy we call sweets gringringringrin
when will you Americans learn to speak English? gringringrin

This man is not to be trifled with: he'd turn me to jelly!
Bill Phillips: Like me you are not brave in a foolhardy manner

I'm with Elizabeth on Skittles, Bill. They're those colorful candy bits that are in our gumball machine right now. grin

Love the sequence, regardless of what he's getting ready to play.
Bill Phillips: Now now Ginnie. As I said to Elizabeth, when are you Americans going to learn to speak English?

Interesting to see what our Amercian friends thing of "Skittles". Looks like Mick is preparing to box.
Bill Phillips: I think we should tell them to walk on the pavement when they come here, see how long the take to learn to talk proper like wot we does

Bill Phillips: Blimey, you would have laughed at our efforts!

I googled 'skittles' and found sweets! Oh, I thought Mick were training boxing on Boxing Day or shooting with bow and arrows like sweet Armor - the body language is interesting and a fine study of gestures! He has fun doing that for you!
Bill Phillips: a sad reflection on the world. Skittles is a fine old game with nine wooden pins and a wooden ball. Much more difficult than Ten pin bowling and a lot more fun. Mick was just being silly and didn't realise i was taking pictures !

He certainly looks like he knows what he is doing - mind you I doubt if the pins are going to be intimidated into falling over ;o)
Bill Phillips: They were not, in fact one of the safest places to stand was probably behind one of the pins.

Are you sure he's not shadow boxing Bill?
Bill Phillips: Yes and I was concerned how big he thought the ball was
You're still standing are you?
Bill Phillips: He couldn't knock the skin off a rice pudding Mary
Very nice action collage Bill!
Bill Phillips: I think he had to go and sit down after this rigorous workout Richard
The good thing about playing skittles in a pub is the food that gets served up at half time, usually Pie and Mash or somesuch.
Bill Phillips: This was the British ~Legion in Droitwich and we had Scampi and chips in a basket smile Actually it was quite good as was the Guinness
I speak English because i am not American Bill... i guess that to play a great game of skittles you have to get into shape... the ball must weigh about two pounds lol...petersmile
Bill Phillips: I worked with a lady who's mother was French Canadian and on a visit to France complained bitterly that the French didn't speak French properly.
Ah! I thought he was preparing a political speech!
Bill Phillips: Clearly a LibDem as he is empty handed at the end
Did he win after all this ?
Bill Phillips: Ummm come to think of it he did!!
Haha - I have no idea was skittles are except that you can eat them.. Great set of shots there! Got my little one pulling on my leg! smile
