Ye Olde Bath Public Bar...dressed up for Christmas...?
Bill Phillips: Close...but no cigar for you
Damn it. Is this the two Philips's Christmas quiz
Bill Phillips: Think a roof covered in scaffold

Well, I think it's somewhere in England? wink I've had a quick whizz back through your archive but I'm none the wiser. Even looking at the NT map for places to you, nothing rings any bells. Is it the place that you showed us with a huge scaffolding over the roof?
Bill Phillips: Yes it is

Wonderful to go along this pavement! Wonderful the stained glass windows! Wonderful your warm toning and the lighthening! I don't want to make a joke, I want to know where we are!
Bill Phillips: Alan is right that it was the one that had the roof covered in scaffold last year

Because the picture is so dire it gives only the clues of being early Victorian with an apse but little else. Great Malvern perhaps?
Bill Phillips: Don't be so silly
A nice picture Bill, but I have not a clue where this is.
Bill Phillips: It is a fine example of Victorian Gothic, now in the care of the National Trust

A HEART-FELT APOLOGY

I have read my earlier comments and now realise the crassness & stupidity of some of my trains of thought. That church in Great Malvern is of course not a NT property: how foolish of me
Bill Phillips: I would not fret if I were you. After all I couldn't even identify Westminster Abbey. This is only Tyntesfield.

however, I think describing this picture as dire was uncalled for. I think it has a certain dark charm

UPDATED COMMENT SPECIAL

This picture is very interesting Bill. I love the way the people back there in the darkness appear to be looking at something we cannot see
Bill Phillips: If this wasn't a family show i would utter a rude word
I've not heard of this place at all Bill but it looks to be a nice chapel.
Bill Phillips: Tyntesfield Brian. It is wonderful
Its Blackdogs black hole so it must be Calcutta.
