So long as you have a copy of War&Peace in your pocket there is nought to be concerned about.

Nice twiddle, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Actually the queue moved very quickly as they are used to dealing with large numbers and the fish was being cooked in large batches...it was gorgeous!
This treatment brings out some interesting textures on fabrics- and the mans hair looks ropy! Kind of cool there!
Bill Phillips: That is our Chris, also known as Tiff and the aldy is the wonderful Astrid

Yes, it looks rather black in Black country - I can feel the smoke, soot and sweat of centuries and lots of hard working people! Brother and Little Sister are standing close to each other! Do you learn Dutch? - I love this language, also a sister of German and English!
Bill Phillips: Hahaha, no but i am thinking of learning German next year

Prettige uitzending voor beginners! The lady has a nice Dutch accent! Vandaag is het erg koud!
Bill Phillips: The lady does indeed
Looks like Chris overdid the Bryl-Creem
Bill Phillips: Scary hairy!

The textures are lovely, particularly the brick and paving
Bill Phillips: Thanks Anne, you can't beat a nice brick

Ahh...this is the land of happy memories but I do not remember the weather being quite as dramatic as this
Bill Phillips: Artistic licence. The fish and chips were magnificent though were they not?
That's an awful long queue. I think I would have foregone the fish and chips. Especially if the day really was a grim as it appears.
Bill Phillips: They were very well organised and it only took a few minutes to get served. The fish and chips, cooked in dripping, were absolutely magnificent!

So, there you are standing in a queue, listening to a Dutch radio programme on your iPod... very strange! smile
Bill Phillips: but worth it for the fish and chips at the end!

I am glad that you are seriously getting to grips with the Hollandaise language Tiff. It all goes straight over my head. The only phrase that I remember is the snow one - It Snot.
Bill Phillips: I am considering learning German next year. They say that learning a language is good for keeping the brain active and fit. I love how the Germans have great big long words
This treatment is scary.
Bill Phillips: sure is
This is a wonderful shot Bill. I like the way you have done this.
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Frances

I thought it was the queue for the trolleybus. Interesting effect on the hair of Chris and Astrid.
Bill Phillips: i watched a program about trams the other night on i player as I always miss things when they are actually on.
I recognized Astrid & Chris at once. Very original treatment, Bill, especially with that black cloud hanging over the heads of the folks waiting to order their fish and chips.
Bill Phillips: It was actually a nice day! Still a bit of poetic licence never hurt
These were benchmark Fish and Chips, never had any since to remotely compare.
Interesting hair texture on Chris.
Bill Phillips: They were excellent and not overpriced as I feared they might be.

Love this!
Bill Phillips: Thanks John!
I'm sure I must be there somewhere or perhaps I was behind you. The two old fellows on the seat were already there chatting to one and all, a good day and fabulous Fish and Chips. I've just noticed, lady P is wearing a bridge parapet on her head!
Bill Phillips: And very fetching it looks too grin the fish and chips are worth visiting again just for them!
Like it, Bill. A deep, gritty feel to it.
