photoblog image The train now standing

The train now standing

"You see Hastings you must use the little grey cells"

"I may not have many Grey cells Poirot but I tell you there is no way this is the Orient Express"

I am in twiddle mode. This will probably last for the rest of the year for two reasons.

1. I feel like it

2. I haven't had much chance to take pictures except for Lions or Acorns events. I did take some pictures of a friends grandaughter but they were for her daughter who wanted a picture of her before she goes to the high school and gets all grown up!

A truly wonderful picture here Bill.
Bill Phillips: That is very nice of you to say so Frances

I can handle a long set of twiddles, Bill, if they are all of this calibre.

However...your excuse is weak, Man!
Bill Phillips: It is a feeble excuse but will have to suffice!
Well, I, for one, enjoy your twiddled images!
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Ma'am

This is actually quite a pleasing twiddle: please tell us what form of twiddleage you used.

I do not accept your reasons for not taking any fresh photographs: lame excuses are my stock in trade
Bill Phillips: I took some pictures at the Lions Xmas do last night but you wouldn't want to see them. But if you do a vollage will probably end up on my Lions website. http://www.droitwichlions.com

this was done with Topaz

Oh, I recognize Chad ( he loves to fold the hands behind the back (like old noble sirs) and Richard (here with Wuschelkopf)? Chris might have been hurried up to meet Lady Loco at the top of the train- a nice, summery picture (except, sorry, the topaz or...toning)! But I respect and appreciate your twiddling mood!
Bill Phillips: That is indeed Richard's fuzzy head. I haven't used topaz for a while and downloaded the latest version to have a play with. I will get bored with it soon.
Keep twiddling my son.
Bill Phillips: I get withdrawal symptoms every so often and have to twiddle!
Twiddle away, my friend. I've not taken many pictures either.
Bill Phillips: I took some this morning at the Grotto and the Acorns shop and wil take some tonight at the Acorns late night shopping event but I doubt they will be for posting on shutterchance. Although i might!
Thats a nice shot Bill, I tried Topaz for a while, it's good.
Bill Phillips: I had the original version and downloaded the latest as a 30 day trial. I might even buy it!
Doesn't look as though you've twiddled it at all, Bill - which is often the sign of a very successful twiddle!
Bill Phillips: It got topazed!
You and topaz have done a good job Bill. Love this shot
Bill Phillips: Thanks Janet. I will, of course, claim All the credit grin
I don't mind if you keep on posting GCR shots Bill if they are as good as this. I've have a massive stock of photos to be honest which includes 5,000+ slides and about the same number of negatives, some scans from times past are coming up after Christmas. I've upgraded to Topaz 5 but actually still prefer version 3 for ease of use.
Bill Phillips: Three would not work on my computer so i tried 5 to see if they had sorted out the problem. I don't know if i shall pay for the upgrade at the end of the trial or not

Twiddle away, Bill! If this is anything to go by then it will be worth it. Googling, I've learnt that this is the Great Central Railway. I've also learnt that:

"What better way to start the day than with a hearty Great Central All Day Breakfast, with eggs, bacon, Cumberland sausages, black pudding, fried bread, sauté potatoes and tomatoes, all served aboard a steam train. For breakfast connoisseurs, our griddle car service provides this veritable feast all day long." Lovely!
Bill Phillips: Trimbo never told us about the breakfast!

In case you decide to give twiddling a rest Bill, best wishes for the new year and I look foward to your resumption with renewed vigour!
Bill Phillips: I might take some proper pictures grin
When in doubt, twiddle!
Bill Phillips: As the actress said to the Bishop
