A great place for a leisurely walk...or even a brisk one, Bill. The sun is definitely beckoning.
Bill Phillips: It is just a lane that leads from the main road to the canal, all of a hundred yards grin

Autumn sun -but the leaves have decided to remain green this year (except some outsiders on the path that fell down).
Bill Phillips: It has been a strange autumn. the trees are losing their leaves in the wind but the mild weather means that many of the leaves haven't turned colour. I do not think it is going to be a very colourful autumn this year
An inviting path to the sunshine.
Bill Phillips: Sadly the sunshine is coming from beyond a busy main road!
Is this where all the teenagers hangout at night?
Bill Phillips: how on earth would I know?

I like the dappled light on the path.

Seeing tour reply to Ginnie, you really could not say "far canal" then wink
Bill Phillips: Well not really but I might say rowlocks

Yes, we neeeded some frost, then the autumn colouring would be wonderful -but I love it- and think of Chris's picture yesterday!
What a nice phrase Alan used I just looked for: "dapppled light"- I have to notice it in my English vocabulary book lying always beside my PC!
Bill Phillips: The frost will mark the end of my fuchsias which are still in full bloom but this week there will be no frost if the weather forecast is right. Sadly they are forecasting rain on Saturday which is our booksale day

Beautiful soft glow from the sunshine, lovely light with the shadows, it really does make you feel like walking along the path smile
Bill Phillips: And it wouldn't take long as it is only about 100 yards long!

You did not bring us here when you showed us Droitwich Bill. All eyesore were buildings and a canal. I'm afraid that I have to agree with Tiffo, this is a good photograph.
Bill Phillips: do not be afraid. This was not open when you had your tour but next time we can walk the entire length of the restored canal and you can delight in the new marina which my be completed by then....or we could just go to the pub
We would enjoy a stroll down here however short, you had lovely lighting on this day.
Bill Phillips: I am in favour of short strolls
Great feel to this, wonderful out today.
Bill Phillips: It was lovely here this morning but it has gone right off now!

The eye naturally follows the path into the picture towards the gate at the end.
Bill Phillips: Guided by the light smile
wonderful light capture Bill, like the hint of golden leaves amongst the shadows, nice touch!
Bill Phillips: We haven't really had as much autumn colour this year as we did the last couple of years
Nice light and shadow, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you graeme
