Just the ticket our Bill - a fine piece of B&W photography. It perhaps needs a little context, but the title sorts that out for us.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike. The band were better than this lot might lead you to believetongue

Bill Phillips: Hope you have recovered now Ray

Fabulous B&W, you captured this so well, the body language says it all.
Bill Phillips: The lady on the right looks a bit less than impressed

"The Glums" may be an alternative title! B&w seems to suit the mood - especially that of the women on the right.
Bill Phillips: She looks a bit less than enthusiastic about it all
Well you have shown Mike how it should be done Bill.Nice one.
Bill Phillips: LOL!! In my dreams

You stealing Trim's thunder? Very excellent capture of the whole audience being entertained by the Grimethorpe Colliery band.
Bill Phillips: Trimbo would have had them posing for a whole series, I just snapped a candid!
Best B&W I've seen in ages, Bill. Congrats!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Bev, I'm delighted you like it
Great shot Bill, one could well imagine them sitting listening to the band. Nobody has mentioned that great piece of music being played on the video, wonderful, lump in the throat music.
Bill Phillips: I once attended a funeral for a father and his 12year old son and they played this. Not crying was not possible

I enjoyed t'brass band; it wer reet grand.
Bill Phillips: Aye lad it takes a bit o' beating
Doesn't seem to be impressing the lady on the right at all!
Bill Phillips: She is probably a heavy metal fan
Played that in Durham County Youth Orchestra more than sixty years ago!
Bill Phillips: I bet you were very good too.
Great B&W, didn't know what to expect from the thumbnail showing just a flash of a knee!!
Excellent picture, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Graeme

great expressions - the photo stands by itself but when you know the context it really makes you smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Paul. Sunday afternoon in the park
This is really excellent. Something about that dress on that woman...

and the man's face!

Gobsmacked, as Ray would say.
Bill Phillips: LOL! Thank you Mary for being gobsmackedgrin
Roughing it! Again I love the black & white, Bill. I think it brings out more of the expressionof your subjects.
Bill Phillips: I agree Sue I think it does too
excellent in b/w, i like the contrast here. the couple are probably contemplating asking for a refund?
Bill Phillips: LOL! The concert was free
