Well you can't go sticking satellite dishes on listed buildings.....so you hide them in the garden

None of the original Tornados were on this this dire attempt to recreate Telstar's success when the first geosynchronous  satellite was launched in 1965

A not so pretty fruit, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Trouble is if you want to watch sport there is not a lot of choice
Well now that's getting creative!
Bill Phillips: Solved the problem
You should start a neighborhood satellite dish watch campaign Billsmile....you could catch even more of these gems .... good eye....keep our gardens green and growinggrin....petersmile

Oh no, Bill, ja, ja, you must perform and post them in the worldwide public- I think you had better done to let hide this ugly thing behind the bushes! It spoils all our houses wherever you may come ...an environment pollution 1st class - but the wind parks the people are complaining!
Bill Phillips: I am afraid we have one on the side of the house along with a conventional Aerial. Kathrryn pays for sky TV and we have freeview. Mind you apart from cricket there isn't much on worth watching

Hmmmm. Maybe one day they'll come up with something for all such dishes but in the meantime, I guess we'll just have to put up with them...since we're such TV junkies! Good one, Bill.
Bill Phillips: We got used to the old TV ariels. They don't really bother me that much. It is the rubbish on TV

And I think you should travel the length & breadth of the land to catalogue them all
Bill Phillips: Chad is the man for that...it would run for months, even maybe years

That's what I do Bill.
Bill Phillips: I am very pleased to hear it Chad.
What a good idea Bill. Just hope the reception is good.
Bill Phillips: The house is on the top of a hill so i would think it issmile
I'm thinking of getting one - When analog signals ended on Sept first, I lost TV.
Bill Phillips: We have freeview which uses the existing aerial but I suppose the satellite dish is the better alternative. Kathryn subscribes to Sky TV and so does Helen, more channels and even more rubbish
I need a TV dish ... I've lost Channel 4 on retuning today
Bill Phillips: Retune your box thing if you have freeview.

satellite to receive me...
Bill Phillips: beam me up Scottie
Fortunately ours is on the back of the house out of site.
Bill Phillips: Ours is on the side and fairly inconspicuous. We all got used to TV aerials and the modern dishes are small and will probably get smaller

So did you find it, Bill? Oh, wait a moment.. I believe I can see it. Is it behind that grey parabolic dish with the LNB thing attached to it? wink I've got one for Freesat; you get higher quality crap.
Bill Phillips: We have SKY which Kathryn pays for, mainly for the football (I am not fond of football these days but I get to see the cricket) We have freeview with a digital aerial in the bedroom. Don't watch it much though

What awful music; I was hoping to hear a proper rendition of Telstar. Alas working from home today, I've got no excuse for not listening to it!
Bill Phillips: This was a few years later. Still joe Meek but none of the original Tornados. It is truly awful and sank without trace chart wise I think

If you want to hear Telstar
They installed a hidden one at our Bowls club. If I switch the irrigation on the signal from the controls destroys the picture. Ha Ha -i'm not keen on football anyway.
Bill Phillips: I am not fond of football these days but I like my cricket!
A saucerful of secrets by Pink Floyd would be better smile
Bill Phillips: Almost anything would be better John grin
