Big skies are difficult to compete with...
Bill Phillips: I suppose the seas can do it
I'm a big fan of big skies!! Love this one!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Elizabeth. Me too

I can look at a sky like this for hours... we had some great weather the last 4 days.
I will come back after work to listen to the Chicken Song, if I am right this is a Dutch 'invention' (vogeltjes dans?)
Fabulous picture!
Bill Phillips: You would not want to lay claim to this Song Lady P

Ray is right---hard to compete with a sky like this. And I can hardly wait to hear the Chicken Song again once Astrid comes back later. HA! smile
Bill Phillips: The song is truly awful

It does indeed! A fine picture: are you sure you took this?
Bill Phillips: Yes I did!

You should go in for skies Bill but, at least you have finally ended your grey period.
Bill Phillips: Plenty more murky grey stuff to come
that sky is great
Bill Phillips: Not bad is it ? smile

Beautiful, Bill. It really does show just how insignificant the planet is in the great blue beyond.
Bill Phillips: We are a mere speck in the universe Alan

It would make a fine B&&W too Bill, but I see Chad and Chris are in horrid mode!
Bill Phillips: Funny you should say that as a future picture will show. I have a thick skin and so am immune grin
My kind of sky that Bill, luv' it!
Bill Phillips: Ain't it just!
I love your big sky. We've had lovely blue skies for the last week but we get rain overnight and then good weather again. Summer at last.
Bill Phillips: We get the odd nice day. It has been a dry but dull summer here and not very warm

That certainly qualifies as a big sky! The clouds look like wispy cirrus to me.
Bill Phillips: I am sure they are Ingrid

That is a cracking sky, well seen. Lol at song smile
Bill Phillips: The song is one of the most awful of all time, but intentionally so!
A wonderful shot Bill. The sky is so good.
Bill Phillips: It was a particularly nice day Frances

BIG and very Blue sky.The chicken song is not pleasant
Bill Phillips: It is horrendous. Dates back to a programme called Spitting Image which was a fairly heavy handed satire in the 80s
Wow, Bill. Those are some serious cirrus clouds you've captured there. Fabulous skyscape!
Bill Phillips: It was a lovely day and a great sky!
A fine example of whispy cirrus cloud formation. Grass needs watering.
Bill Phillips: Everything needs watering around here. It may not have been a hot summer but it has been a very dry one.
I tried a couple of big sky shots last week but they weren't as good as this one.
Bill Phillips: I was lucky that the sky was as good as this
Wonderful sky!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tom. Pleased you like it
They do say that big is beautiful...This sky certainly is...Nice one Bill.
Bill Phillips: size matters Ron grin

EXTRA SPECIAL COMMENT

I've got some skies in my neighbour's shed I could sell you. Some are ripped a bit or are stained with liquids of various sorts but I could bung a few in the pantechnicon & bring 'em round for a small consideration
Bill Phillips: I could swap them for some of my overstock of choccie box flower pictures which are cluttering up my garage
Fantastic sky. I know it has a proper name, but I call this "Angel Wings" and spare a thought for the late Grace, and other departed family and friends.
Bill Phillips: I think your name for it is perfect Sheila. sometimes we can sit and look at something and just think of those we have loved who are gone. We are not here for long and it is still a very beautiful world

Magnificent sky. Photographically speaking, I would have liked the building a bit closer, while the split between sky and foreground remains %-wise as it is. In other words, you would of had to be closer to Croome.
Woohoo! A lovely sky Bill
Bill Phillips: One of the nicest days we have had this summer Pam
i love the wind swept clouds against the blue sky
