Stairs look well-used, Bill.
Bill Phillips: If only they could talk
My kind of place! Very nice in B&W - the light on the stairs makes it!
Bill Phillips: It was a delight, both the house and gardens

a finely composed b&w picture! The spots of light on the staircase are wonderful - a way up to light - much- needed now - I'm looking sorrowfully on London and...
Bill Phillips: The scenes in London and other cities are very depressing.

I really enjoy your B&W work, Bill. It inspires me, to be honest, to try my hand at it. I love the lighting!
Bill Phillips: Old Blackie was my inspiration. I have always hankered to do b&w and now i am hooked

I am starting to get mixed up between you and Mike Bill. Can't you put some of your early frames around yours. There would be no mistaking then.
Bill Phillips: Mike is the tall thin one without hair...I on the other hand....
I like the lighting on the stairs - it makes them quite enticing.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Sheila. It was nice light

Very arty, Bill; looks like this was taken by a proper photographer. I like the replacement stair treads.

Great b&w - entry to the dungeon and a witch's cauldron on the right. Ominous stuff and all the more so, when seen in splendid b&w.
Bill Phillips: hubble bubble and all that
Did Blackdog take this for you Bill.
Bill Phillips: I will take that as a compliment Richard
great B&W
Bill Phillips: Thank you Chantal
This is very pleasing in tone and composition, It really does have the quality of a monochrome film shot.
Bill Phillips: Thanks john. i was pleased with this one

Lovely study in available light Bill - highlight on the vessel lower right is the icing on the cake.
Bill Phillips: I had to do a bit of work to get that detail into the door and cauldron
A very nice image Bill. A quite intersting picture.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Frances. A small corner of a delightful house

Great light Bill, even in the dark corner,I really like this one smile
Bill Phillips: Had to twiddle a bit to get anything out of the dark corner
I love the way the light draws the eye to the stairs, Bill. Makes me want to see where they lead.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Beverly. As I recall you couldn't go up these stairs
I like the feeling of peeking round the corner and not seeing where anywhere goes. Your B& very good at the moment bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Brian
Nice B&W study, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Mr Tom
Superb B/W Bill. The stairs look like they might lead up to a fairy tale tower.
Bill Phillips: You never know Janet wink
