oh, a choccie box picture again - lovely and peaceful - I would like to take part in a canal trip by boat - but I would prefer to stay in a hotel in the town (not in a hotel boat), it looks rather Dutch (Astrid might say)!
Bill Phillips: We taught the Dutch everything they know about canal building grin
I am very pleased that the canal was restored Bill.....this is one beautiful canal boat and the photographer did a fine job of framing itsmile....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly sir. I see you are getting a visit from our future King and queen!
I've been shooting narrowboats the other day. The shots will soon come up on my blog. I just love these boats andwouldn't mind living on but I am afraid my bum won't fit in, cause they are bl**dy narrow!!!

Nice shot Bill, pretty.
Bill Phillips: This is me in choccie box mode Marion
nice photo
Bill Phillips: Thank you chantal

But its not Friday? Never mind nice clear light (I trust not HDR) with the trees resplendent against the brooding clouds.
Bill Phillips: I like to be independent! Not HDR but levels and things adjusted a bit

It certainly cheers the place up
Bill Phillips: Droitwich could become a great tourist destination
I had a dream that I visited this place ... or was it reality?
Bill Phillips: It was real Richard....all too real grin
That is quite a boat. I guess it is very narrow to fit through the canal which looks very narrow up ahead.
Bill Phillips: some of the locks are only about two boats wide Mary
Looks good to me smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks john, It is good to see the canal open again
I would like to go in one of these, but I really dont like the locks, I think they are scary. Your picture makes it look a really nice place to visit smile
Bill Phillips: You sound just like Ange!!!

fantastic! I've always wanted to rent one of those and take a trip but with my sense of directions I probably end up on the M4!
Bill Phillips: I thought the Dutch were a maritime race grin
I second Scarlet. It would be wonderful to rent one of these boats and cruise the canals for a very relaxing and peaceful holiday. This is a great capture of one of them, Bill.
Bill Phillips: It has become a very popular holiday but Ange is like Linda, scared of going through the locks!! to be honest it has never appealed to me as a holiday, but I do like to see the boats

What a joy this must be; it is certainly good to see. The canal restoration generally is still a recent delight (well.. as recent as 1948 or so!). A fine-looking barge.
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Alan. Droitwich may become a tourist Mecca
Lovely image!
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much tom. The canal officially re-opens on Saturday
Stunning photo Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Ferdi. Pleased you like it

It looks a tidy job at the canal Bill.
Bill Phillips: You can verify the authenticity Chad
Isn't that just gorgeous, Bill. That's a very long longboat! I like the reflection too smile
Bill Phillips: It is a long one Pam, i rather like the picture windows!
That ones beautiful!
Isn't it great to hear really good news like this, now you have another choice of subject matter for your camera Bill.
Bill Phillips: I think the odd canal boat may feature Brian
