Pretty picture

Well I like it

Today is my daughter Kathryn's birthday. She is a year older than she was this time last year.  She is currently working for Acorns and I wrote this little song for her. Some of you may have heard it already

In a year's time she will be a further year older. This lonely orchid looks as if it is the common spotted variety. Your song is
Bill Phillips: wonderful, is the word you were looking for
I like that you sent Kathryn that lovely Lupine amongst the Buttercups.....and i like that you wrote her that song....i did hear the Briker Brack song last week and thanks....petersmile
.....................Happy Birthday Kathryn.........................smile
Bill Phillips: Chris says it is an orchid. I have no idea what it is but it is pretty.

I will pass on the birthday greetings!

I like this colourful summermeadow, too -and one beautiful flower is standing out today! Happy Birthday to Kathryn -Daddy's wonderful voice will be singing you a birthday serenade! And I hope that you all will enjoy a fine cake with whipped cream - Bill, you need some fat to eat!
Bill Phillips: She is having a large carrot cake made by Ange. Kathryn loves carrot cake....actually so do I
I just love the composition, with just that one flower standing in the field
Bill Phillips: Yes it appealed to me too Chantal

orchid or lupine? Orchid is the more fitting flower -and Chris is an expert in natural sciences!
Bill Phillips: If Chris says it is an orchid I would think that is what it is
Nice shot and song.
Bill Phillips: Thank you x2 John
Happy Birthday to you girl of summer. I loved having the opportunity to hear your song again. I am not familiar with your pretty flower.
Bill Phillips: Chris says it is an orchid and he is usually correct

carrot cake is delicious and healthy - almost a sort of diet - I ate it in Switzerland for the first time - called RĂ¼blitorte, typically Swiss!
Bill Phillips: Not quite so healthy with buttercream icing on top grin

Well, what a coincidence; I'm a year older than I was this time last year, too. I bet she is still Daddy's little girl. I like the single blue flower here.
Bill Phillips: I don't think i would ever describe Kathryn as daddy's little girl but I love her to bits!
well spotted. That makes this image!!
Bill Phillips: Cheers rob!
Well a Happy Birthday to your daughter Bill, I hope you have a family celebration for her. We listened to your song the other day via your blog, I think we nodded off before the endsmile
Bill Phillips: We are all going out for lunch on saturday.

Fell asleep!! It's only 2 minutes and 5 seconds long! Talk about short attention span grin
I like this too, I love the dash of purple with the yellow and greens, really summery feel smile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Linda. Considering it was the longest day today it didn't feel very summery!
I'm glad the buttercups are there to console the lonely orchid / lupine / purply / flowery / thing... maybe she won't realize she's "different". It's a beautiful scene nonetheless! h

Happy Birthday Kathryn!
