Aha - this is a very fine study indeed of Buttieland: the sky is magnificent. So are the trees, so is the distant vista, so are the butties!
Bill Phillips: It is a little slice of paradise!
I like the way the trees in the background are appropriately sandwiched like the bacon in a buttie.
Bill Phillips: LOL...that had not occurred to metongue

Looks chilly so a bacon buttie would be very welcome
Bill Phillips: Ange and I had jacket potatoes!
how pretty--you've turned a fairly ordinary setting into something really very nice!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Dawn. This is where I was working for the National Trust last year, and hope to go back to this year if they want me.

Bacon buttie ice-pop...nar...can't see that working at all, cos you don't end up with bacon fat dribbling off your wrists.

super shot, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Cheers Ray. If they can do squirrel flavoured crisps anything is possible!

Great colours hope you can dine in looks a little chilly there
Bill Phillips: It was very chilly!
I wish I wish that I could ring them up and a bloke on a bike would turn up at my house with a bacon buttie just like they do with pizza'a but I nevr do that so that is why I wrote what I wrote.
Bill Phillips: I think the snow has got to you your Baronship.

Rain or snow, we eat
butties with our bums on the sleet

Great picture, Ogden would have wished it was his.
Bill Phillips: Fine poetry Louis. Nasher has a proper picture today!
Same to you, have a good weekend...
Bill Phillips: Thank you Chantal. It's our monthly book sale tomorrow so I'm hoping the snow will have gone
Lovely view, even without knowing that this is THE Bacon Buttie Bungalow.

Query: if they can open up 365 days a year regardless, and the people come to eat 365 days, then how come the schools are closed because of the snow? Are you a tougher breed up there than down in the south?
Bill Phillips: It closes Christmas day and on Mondays
Great piece of twiddling Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Michael!
Great twiddling effects Bill! I like it.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much richard
No-one sat on the outdoor tables; what wimps!
Bill Phillips: We sat inside! It was very cold!!
If they let the smells of bacon drift with the help of fans then they would have a hell of a rush of people clammering for a dead pig sandwich.

'' ...with the help of fans'' ... Hmmm now I'm being silly.
richard
Bill Phillips: "dead pig" doesn't sell the idea very well Richard. grin

Oh, yes, I thought, this must be the worldfamous place where the god-like (see Chris' blog today), capital baconbutties can be ordered and are served, I hope to enjoy them one day if I can return to GB! Yes, "Buttieland" indeed- well twiddled and I can imagine all seasons there, esp. the colourful autumn-time and such a wide outlook from the Clent Hills! Surely one of the most beautiful workingplaces- "a little slice of paradise" as yourself said- what do you wish more, happy Bill?
Bill Phillips: I have seen Chris' masterpiece! It would by my great pleasure to one day welcome you to the clent hills and buttieland smile
Oh my, bacon butties and a stunning view. My idea of heaven. (:o)
Bill Phillips: I was working here last year, and hopefully will be again this year!
I think your buttie might get a little cold
Bill Phillips: my buttie got very cold tongue tongue
This really is a cracking picture Bill...everything about it says..Look at me. The bacon butties would be a bonus. Wish I was there.
Bill Phillips: You wouldn't think that you were overlooking Dudley and the Black Country
I love that sky Bill.
Bill Phillips: It is rather nice! Thanks Albert
you too Bill, cracking image mateysmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tim smile
A nice photo Bill, with excellent processing. It looks a very pleasant place with a great outlook over the surrounding countryside. All being well we will get there during 2009.
Bill Phillips: I will be disappointed if you don't!

I even taste the Bacon butties when I see this wonderful picture, THANKS for the memory.
BTW do we have to rescue Chad....I can arrange a snowplow...wink
Bill Phillips: If you thought it was cold when we all went up there...this was a lot colder.
Rescue Chad? Not a chance. Keep him out of mischief I say tongue. Have a great weekend Astrid. We have our monthly book sale tomorrow, so fingers crossed for the weather!
