I wonder what lies beyond?? I would love to see.! That's because I like to nose around, must be the Gemini in me
Thank you Angela, oh yes and you Bill for taking the shot
Bill Phillips: Another Gemini eh? I also had a mother from Lancashire so I am even nosier!
This would definitely have attracted my attention Bill, such beautiful colours and textures as you say.
The wood is amazing
Bill Phillips: There is no substitute for weathering!...wish that applied to people

Angela has a good eye like you (na, no wonder after 37 years living together)! I very like the composition and the colours of your pic and -especially- this mysterious, rather 'aristocratic' door with the nice iron fittings and the beautiful keystone above the entrance and the worn step and the weathered stones! I think it can tell some stories and I would like to know more about this door. Doors are always fascinating for me!
Bill Phillips: This door is at the bottom of the round tower on the right side of the building. I think it might have been used by servants or possibly a tradesman's entrance, but I don't know
Just catching up on the last few days. Looks like you found another great place to visit and photograph. Love this door and all the different textures surrounding it. (:o)
