Bill Phillips: Maybe. Thing is all our monitors are different and very few are calibrated so on mine this looks fine and on some it looks very dark indeed. I have looked at some of my pictures on the monitors at the office where i work now and then and can barely see anythinggrin
It looks like it's recently rained?! Stately looking place!

it's a great building Bill... i like the angle that you chose.... but it is a bit dark....petersmile

It's appropriate for our house! After having ten rats the latest little sod got into the sofa yesterday evening and IS STILL IN THERE! I have been downstairs on my knees making "interesting noises" to try & get it out.

I had such great & noble plans for my retirement...

Haha - and lol at Ray and Chris - oh, poor Chris, the Pied Piper of Bath - we are in Soest again with its elegant Rathaus of Italian flair painted in Toscana red (we now cannot see, sadly) - and to every Rathaus belongs normally a 'Ratskeller' (really cellar) where you can eat and drink a fine beer - the Ratskeller are often the best reaturants, for example in Bremen...
Bill Phillips: I may post a colour version but it's because of the colour that, for me, it makes a good b&w

Yes the Germans have a way of saying things.. We sometimes make jokes about it.
Great shot. Like the way the light/dark is, the arches show up.

Do you know the tales about the citizens of Schilda, the "Schildbürger," who in each story excel in stupidity. One of the best known stories is the construction of a new city hall. The Schildbürger had decided to build a fine new City Hall/Rathaus in original. But the architect forgot to include windows, with the result that it was pitch dark inside the hall. The Schildbürger attempted to collect the sunlight into buckets and sacks, and to carry it inside. The attempt failed… The citizens of Soest learnt something from this funny story! But not the Droitwich town photographer!

Haha - people will be complaining my photos are too bright at this rate. Wishing I hadn't read the comments tho'. The thought of Chris on his knees making "interesting noises" is enough to make the mind boggle!
Bill Phillips: I think i'm going to make them a bit darker so that I can't even see them on my own monitor!

It's nowhere near dark enough Bill, I can still make out some details,.

A bit like a memory Bill. Some things get a bit murky but the arches and windows are retained
