St Andrews Street

Not much to say about this really. It just appealed to me.

to me too.
I'd just cropped it a bit tighter.
Bill Phillips: Originally I cropped the right closer to the drainpipe and took the top down to the gutter. Then decided I liked it better like this!

Reminds me of one of those glorious films of old England. A Bow street runner walks out of shot and a lady of the night ply's her trade undeneath the light of the lamp, as the camera pans down....

Jack the ripper waits in the shadows of the night... smile
Bill Phillips: No it was Bill the Snapper!!

It appeals to me too. Sort of with a little fog you can expect Jack to make a final guest appearance.

Read about the crop. I believe a number of very interesting crops can be had for this picture, and they will probably work as good as this one.
Bill Phillips: Lots of crops eh? Well I shall have to try a few!
It appeals to me too. Nice and warm, welcoming. Is there an equally warm and welcoming pub nearby.
Bill Phillips: There is actuallysmile
Quite an appealing image Bill. I like the warm glow!
Bill Phillips: That was partly what appealed to me Richard

A wonderfully warm light-night pic- almost an Advent-pic (Jes. 9, 1-6)!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine. (I googled Jes 9 1-6. )
Really nice warm glow Bill... my mind is being creative ... what about about a black and white version with selective colour .. Oh heck that would be stupid so leave it as it is .......... richard
Bill Phillips: Yeah why not. something to do on a dark winter's evening. Perhaps I'll Ogden it!
And it appeals to me as well Bill, a sort of Victorian feel to it.
Bill Phillips: I keep thinking about that old TV series Sgt Corksmile
An atmosphere of crime as in a thriller moovie here !
Bill Phillips: Inspector Maigret perhaps? grin
a rather pleasant composition and warmth to this Bill, nice onesmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much tim
