photoblog image Three coins in a fountain

Three coins in a fountain

As you may be aware I had the pleasure yesterday of a visit from two of the Musketeers and my fellow Stooges. A good time was, I think, had by all!!

Here you see Tiff and the two ladies experiencing the communal facilities at Avoncroft Museum of buildings. Chad and I had to wait outside.

The title? Well I had to call it something, and this is a family show!

If you were expecting a picture of Westbury Court Garden, I have moved it to Sunday.

A very nice pic, Bill! Lovely enjoying smiling faces (Chris' smiling seems to a bit suppressed), beautiful colours suiting each other! My title: "Locus amoenus with enjoyable fellows"! (In Germany we call an "Örtchen" like that: "Locus", the pic reminds me of the Roman collective toilets I have seen in Italy)!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Philine. I have always thought that this collective toilet was a very strange idea! It was a delight to meet Astrid and Tracy.
Two happy bunnies and Tiff attempting to appear as that cool droll dude.

Bill, I have found a mor appropriate English expression: Chris looks a bit 'lost in thought' or 'dreamy' (maybe he doesn't want to look "keep smiling!")! The fellows are sitting very up straight- very well- behaved-decent (oh, op mijn Romeinen-foto's de personen zijn net bezig om een grote of kleine boodschap te doen terwijl ze zich naar voren buigen!)!
Bill Phillips: I hope everybody puts the last part of this into google translate. I am still having a laugh at the picture it conjures uptongue I don't know about Chris being lost in thought. He looks more like he has indigestion to megrin

What a relief.Good to see them.
Bill Phillips: It was a pleasure to meet them. (Apart from Chris...I've met him before and the novelty has worn off)
Happy memories!
Bill Phillips: Indeed! It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and a pleasure to meet two such lovely people.

Bill would you now please return to collect Astrid and I, Chris will have to remain as he is still constipated and in some pain. We told him he would end up suffering with piles if he stays much longer.gringrin

Thanks for a fantastic day and all the laughter we had together. You three are just as mad as we are, thank god.tongue

Astrid says groeten, and Astrid has still got a big smile on her facesmile

Hope to meet you all again soonsmilesmile
Bill Phillips: It was a lot of fun. We will have to venture into darkest Staffordshire one of these days! to Astrid "Ik hoop dat u een goede reis terug naar huis". or as they say in Denmark "Jeg håber du har en sikker rejse hjem"

Thank you so much for the beautiful day yesterday, I don't even know where to start talking about, everything went so fast....TOO FAST...you have no idea how happy I am I did not have to use my subtitle machine, we did very well understanding each other.

We had great laughs and long talks, it was amazing that we connect that easy, even being from 'abroad' I felt if I know you all since ages and kept continuing where we last stopped.

I added some words to my vocabulary, my laughing muscles were tested all day, I can tell you they still work perfectly.

Thank you for your best wishes for my travel home to Danmark, I will tell them all about the wonderful people I met.

Dank je wel, you all are in my heart and soul.
Bill Phillips: I'm delighted you had a good day. It was lovely to meet You and Tracy, and yes the day flew by. By the way I think your English is brilliant...would that half the natives of this island could speak it as welltongue One day I really will get a passport and Ange and I will come to Holland!
Things are really going down the pan now Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you for that Bernie LOL! grin

Wonderful capture Bill. Lovely to see them together.
Bill Phillips: It was great to meet Tracy and Astrid. They are lovely people.
A great picture of a happy day. Well, at least for some. Tell Chris he should eat more fruit!
Bill Phillips: Syrup of figs! That's the stuff when I was a kid!
Sheila beat me to it. I was going to suggest fiber and fruit and more water for Sir Tiff. Too much strain can cause some pain.
Bill Phillips: Plenty of prunes...do him the world of goodsmile

Bill, sorry, but the vocabulary part of my brain is further working- I have now found the right word: Chris is smiling impishly as if he's always got a mischievous twinkle in his eyes ('knitz', 'verschmitzt', 'schalkhaft' in German)! Klopt dit? - I have already a little visualized all the three dear persons in that or such a similar way/look based on their pics and words!
Bill Phillips: I love the idea of Chris as impishgrin They are all very nice people...even Chadgrin

Glad you all had a great time - no one looking too flushed ;o)

Is that a Leica Chris is sporting around his neck?
Bill Phillips: It is but we tried not to notice. I felt like the poor relation surrounded by 2 nikons a canon and that. There was me with my humble Pentaxtongue
The only place to contemplate Bill.Nice one.
Bill Phillips: Pity there wasn't some newspaper on a nail to add the finishing touchgrin
Hi, nice to see you guys.
Bill Phillips: Hi to you and thanks for coming by.
The girls smiles say everything about the day you all had yesterday Bill, Chris looks slightly contemplative but I bet he enjoyed himself as much as the rest of you.
Bill Phillips: He did Brian. We had a really enjoyable day.
